The second largest win in the history of the WSOP events was at the 20128 Big One for One Drop which was certainly one of the most exciting in the history of the game too. The winner of the tournament was Justin Bonomo who beat Fedor Holz and claimed a grand total of $16.4 million in 2018. This was such a huge win and Bonomo was over the moon with his total, and funnily enough, this actually took him to the top of the all-time rankings who overtook Daniel Negreanu who was top until this event.
And finally, the biggest win of all time was back in 2012 at the Big One for One Drop which has 48 entries, a total prize pool of $42.67 million and it was Antonino Esfandiari was the poker player who came out on top, taking home nearly $19 million in prize fund which is easily the biggest pay out in poker history. Esfandiari won on the final hand with a 7 and a 5 against Sam Trickett’s suited Q and 6 and was super happy to not just win the prize pool, but to be in the history books too forever.
